Three Ingredients in your Deodorant (and What They Mean To You)
Parabens-a group of compounds, which are said to be xenoestrogens (meaning they mimic estrogens).
In 2004 a British cancer researcher Philippa Darbre Ph.D. found parabens present in malignant breast tumors.
- Aluminum-slivery white, soft non-magnetic ductile metal. This is used to act as a plug and stop you form sweating.
Toxic metals contribute to brain disease by causing oxidative stress.
- Triclosan-is a synthetic antibacterial and antifungal agent. This is what stops you from smelling.
The FDA has classified this as a pesticide and could be contributing to the growth of resistant super bugs.

1/3 cup of baking soda
1/3 cup of arrowroot powder
1/3 cup of coconut oil (melted)
5 drops of peppermint oil or lavender
Mix all ingredients in a sealable glass container…refrigerate until solid…remove and store in a cool place.
